Fiscal sponsorship and donations
GMRF is a fiscally sponsored fund of Myriad USA, a public charity under Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code (EIN 58-2277856).
- Funds hosted at Myriad USA are not separate legal entities. For this reason, donations are made payable to Myriad USA, with the Global Majority Resilience Fund named as their purpose.
- U.S. donors may claim the maximum tax benefit allowed by U.S. tax law. Myriad USA sends each donor a receipt.
- Every grant is reviewed by Myriad USA for consistency with U.S. tax law and with its charitable purposes. Myriad USA also carries out due diligence and compliance checks on every grantee.
- Our fees stay under 12%, and over 80% of our funding goes to local grantees and partners.
To give to GMRF, write to team@globalmajorityresiliencefund.org. Legal and financial information on Myriad USA is published at myriadusa.org.
Integrity and complaints
These standards apply to the GMRF team, our Advisory Board and the organizations we fund.
Safeguarding
We do not tolerate sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment of anyone, including community members, staff and volunteers. Every grant agreement includes a duty to prevent harm and to report concerns.
Fraud and corruption
Bribes, kickbacks and the misuse of funds are not tolerated. Grantees and partners are screened before each grant. Suspected misuse can lead us to suspend or end a grant and to recover the funds.
Conflicts of interest
Team and Advisory Board members declare any personal or financial tie to an applicant and step out of every decision about that applicant.
Raise a concern
Anyone can raise a concern or complaint about GMRF, our team, our advisors or a grantee. Write to team@globalmajorityresiliencefund.org in any language, with “Concern” in the subject line. Reports are handled in confidence, and no one who raises a concern in good faith will be penalized. If your concern involves the GMRF team, you can also write to Myriad USA at info@myriadusa.org.
